Torbole, the first village one comes to on the northern shore of Lake Garda, is only 15 km from the Rovereto south exit off the motorway.
Before one gets to this place, which is located 68 m above sea level right at the mouth of the river Sarca, it is worth one’s while to stop at Nago (200 m above sea level), and take a look at Lake Garda which stretches out ahead of the spectator. Nago forms part of Torbole, and those who favour the quiet of the mountains should rather settle down here.
Torbole itself, at least during high season, is firmly under the control of surfers and mountain bikers. For sport addicts “perfetto”, last but not least because there are interesting bars and numerous trattorias and pizza places! It goes without saying that in this paradise for sportspeople there is no shortage of doctors, chemists’, banks and post offices. Should you decide to settle down here you will be interested to hear that there are also playschools and schools.
