“Condominio” is the collective term for a block of flats or a housing estate, which is also called a “residence”. The latter is becoming ever more popular at Lake Garda and there is a huge selection of apartments, flats occupying one floor in a block of flats and terraced houses in larger and smaller housing estates on offer. A lot of these housing estates also have a communal underground garage, green areas and swimming pool, some of them even have their own tennis court.
These amenities, however, come at a price. Make sure you inform yourself in good time about the annual residential costs which one has to pay for these services, should you toy with the idea of buying an apartment in a residential complex. Should the residential complex consist of more than four parties, an administrator has to be elected by the meeting of property owners. In residential complexes with more than 10 parties house rules have to be defined. Attention: On conclusion of a sales contract or tenancy agreement the buyer or tenant automatically agrees with the recognition of all existing house rules!
