The costs for the registration of this contract are shared equally by tenant and landlord. Only after the registration has been concluded the tenancy agreement comes into full effect.
Registration of property purchase
In case of a property purchase, the notary has to register the final deed at the Land Registry Office within 20 days after the conclusion of the contract. Therefore, since July 2011 it is no longer necessary to register a transfer of property with the municipality as this was substituted by the registration of the contract.
