Seismic classification

Unfortunately earthquakes in Italy are not uncommon. This is why Italian municipalities are subdevided into four main risk zones:

    • Zone 1

Most dangerous area, in which it can come to very strong earthquakes

    • Zone 2
Also these areas are subject to rather strong earthquakes
    • Zone 3

In these areas earthquakes rarely occur

    • Zone 4
This area has a minor risk. Earthquakes are a rarity.
